The Peter Brock memorial cruise 2013 was held last weekend hosted by the Westcoast Commodore club and was the first time that i’ve attended it due to other commitments but i dragged my slack backside out of the house for once (with the assistance from Mark at Bogan & Proud) and set up shop at the Parkerville rec grounds for when everyone came back from the actual cruise, (may get a lift for the cruise next year!) and once everyone started to arrive it became obvious that 1: there were going to be a LOT of cars here, and 2: they weren’t all commodores! and also not just your average cars you see around the shopping centre carpark either.
There were some standout cars from all the models on show from old school VB’s to sharp late models and throw into the mix some jap, German, and Italian steeds made for a good mix, not that many falcons there but it is open to all makes so maybe next year they can show up. With the warm day and some clouds to keep away the sunburn, add a beaut barbie and a bouncy castle for the kids to spend their energy on, it was a relaxing day to hang out in the hills. All up there were approximately 350 cars in attendance which is bigger than most day cruises so it’s well worth the effort to come for a cruise to remember a great aussie legend and kick back in the spring sunshine with other car people! think i’ll defiantly add this to next year’s calendar 😉
