Atomic Terra

by

When Autolife Requested a few feature cars , we didn’t hesitate when we were offered to shoot the eye catching HSV owned by Ryan Allen

Ryan bought this car back in November 2006 when back then it looked like the photo below , just a plain white HSV SS streeter  , he told us he bought it “ because it was a Manual, V8, HSV, well looked after and had a few modifications such as Koni front struts, exhaust and CD player

Since its purchase the car has been fully re-sprayed in the Holden color VY quicksilver with the top half of the car and engine bay painted Holden VE atomic green.

Between the two colors is a custom airbrushed “can opener tear”. At this time he also added the GTS styled front bar and have had the body lines on the side of the car deleted and most of the badges have been removed.

Ryan’s also tinkered with the engine and exhaust a little and has added pacemaker extractors, a high flow 3” cat &  3” exhaust. The K&N air filter, a HDT computer and was last tuned by Active Automotive by the previous owner,. we asked him how much power it has and his response ‘ enough  for now ‘  but a new engine is currently in the build so look out!  , at this stage the car hasn’t been down the ¼ mile so we will be reporting on the results when they come to hand.

Other goodies in this package include a Sony CD player, 6” JVC splits with a 200watt amp, kicker 6×9’s, Sony 1300watt 12” sub with a Alpine 400watt mono block amp all kicking out 127db , Autometer comp series 5.5” monster tacho, Momo steering wheel, gear knob and leather boot and  the car has been tinted with ceramic tint.

On the outside the car has been fitted Kings ultra low springs front and rear with munroe shocks in the rear and koni shocks upfront , Slotted and cross drilled front rotors and a set of VE SSV 19”wheels.

All this for around the 30k mark

Ryan tell us his intentions for this build was for something he can enjoy putting in car shows, have fun with on club track days and still drive on the street.

On the award side of things its won Best paint at Street commodores Cruise for charity 6, and also won readers ride in the same mag and more recently Westcoast Commodores “King of the Track” 2011 and im sure plenty more to come!

We’d like to Thank Ryan for allowing to shoot this unique looking street machine for Autolife
