Saturday the 11th of February was the one of the biggest and most popular hot rod shows in Perth, the “big als poker run”.
We packed our esky and camera gear and joined dodgee Bruce in his 1970 Dodge Phoenix and cruised on down to Burswood Park to join hundreds of other real car enthusiasts for a day of show and rodding!.
The day started very slowly and early too(!) down at Burswood with numbers looking like they were going to be low , but after a slow start the park began filling and by 1pm-ish it was pretty packed with rods and customs.
We headed off at 3pm to do the poker run and ended up in Kingsway at the sporting club oval where there was a band and beer flowing!.
This year instead of going like a mad man , both Bruce and I took the alternative approach and photographed people and the show atmosphere , we mainly took car photos while Bruce did the detailed shots , overall there’s over 120 photos to see at our partner
